Ulmer, Pancrazi awarded by The League of Arizona Cities and Towns
Aug. 22, 2008
STATE CAPITOL, PHOENIX - The League of Arizona Cities and Towns recently honored Rep. Theresa Ulmer and Rep. Lynne Pancrazi, both of Yuma, for their commitment to protecting the local control of cities and towns.
The League on Thursday gave Rep. Ulmer the "Legislative Champion" award and Rep. Pancrazi the "Friend of Cities and Towns" award during the Governor and Legislative Luncheon at the Marriott Camelback Inn Resort in Paradise Valley.
Rep. Ulmer was one of eight state representatives honored as a "Legislative Champion."
"I am very honored that the League selected me as one of their champions," Rep. Ulmer said. "I have worked hard to ensure our cities and towns are not burdened with additional mandates and can continue to enrich our quality of life."
"The League's recognition is a huge honor," Rep. Pancrazi said. "Too often the Arizona Legislature is trying to enact broad policies that do not take into consideration the needs of cities. I am very proud to have a partnership with the cities."
